Student verification fails due to full-name-only academic document

Hi everyone,

Hello,

I am trying to apply for the GitHub Student Developer Pack, but my application keeps failing during name verification.

My academic affiliation document only shows my name as:
"SEO DOOHYUN" (Name in Full)

The document does not explicitly distinguish first name and last name.
I have updated my information exactly as follows:

• GitHub Profile Name: SEO DOOHYUN
• GitHub Billing:
  First name: SEO
  Last name: DOOHYUN

All spellings and order match the document exactly, but verification still fails.
Could you please advise how to proceed in this situation?

This is a limitation of GitHub Education’s automatic name verification.
Documents that show only a full name (no first/last split) often fail automated checks, even if the spelling matches.

What to do:

• Reapply and request a manual review
• Clearly explain that your academic document uses a single full-name format
• Upload any additional student document if available

Manual reviews usually approve these cases after clarification.

However, in the current GitHub Education application flow, I do not see any option to:

• request a manual review,
• upload additional documents, or
• provide an explanation during reapplication.

Could you please clarify exactly where and how I should request a manual review under the current system?
