Exceeding Premium Request Allowance #167071
-
Hi everyone,I am a university student that has been using the Github copilot for learning and assisting in understanding code and I have been using the premium models like Claude 4, Gemini 2.5 pro without any prior issue previously. But I received this error message while using the Claude 4 model and I get switched to GPT 4.1 model. The error message is as follows Is it meant to be like this because as far as I am aware, I wasn't informed of any limit for the education pack. Thanks! |

Hi, I recently had a similar issue with GitHub Copilot, in fact I still do. It says:
I also got GitHub Pro via the GitHub Education platform. I was using it quite a lot but I suspect that they have recently lowered the number of tokens/requests we get. I am also still able to use GPT 4.1 but cannot access the "smarter" models. See their pricing and features for GitHub Copilot Pro: |

so it says: 300 premium requests to use latest models, with the option to buy more where is that buy more option? how do i get more ? copilot itself says the limit is fixed so when i get to 300 the only option is to either wait a month sitting on my thumbs or upgrade to pro + |

Hi @LakinduBabySoap,
CopilotPRO plan is limited to a maximum of 300 premium requests per month (additional at $0.04 USD each), regardless of whether it's a paid plan or theStudent Developer Packbenefits plan. This has also been discussed here: #164846
