The app is more focused on managing code, not creating new repositories, so you'll be redirected to the browser for this step. Open the GitHub app and sign in. Tap your profile icon (bottom right). Tap the browser icon (top right) to open GitHub in the browser. Go to github.com and sign in. Tap the “+” icon at the top right corner. Select “New repository”. Fill in the details: Repository name (e.g: my-first-project) Description (optional) Choose Public or Private Optionally, check “Initialize this repository with a README”. Tap “Create repository” at the bottom. |

Hi! Welcome to GitHub 👋 Creating a new repository directly from the GitHub mobile app is currently limited. The easiest workaround is to open GitHub in your mobile browser (Chrome/Safari), enable desktop site, then click the “+” menu and select New repository. Another option is to create the repository on a computer and then manage it from your phone afterward. Hope this helps—feel free to ask if you need more guidance! |
