GitHub does not accept document attachments for student verification via normal support tickets. Open GitHub Support (not Community) Go here: Choose: Issue: “Unable to verify student status” Hope this helps. |

GitHub Student verification is handled through an automated third-party verification system, and unfortunately GitHub does not offer a general option to manually review student documents via email or file attachments on request. At the moment, students cannot directly send enrollment documents, certificates, or other files to GitHub Support for manual verification unless GitHub explicitly escalates the case internally. In most cases, GitHub Support will redirect applicants back to the standard Student Developer Pack verification flow. Distance or online learning students commonly face this issue. Even when documents are valid, rejections can happen if: The institution is not fully recognized by the third-party verification provider The documents do not clearly show current enrollment dates The documents are not in English or lack official stamps, signatures, or QR/verification links The institution’s program type (online/distance) is harder for the automated system to verify Having a university email address helps, but it does not guarantee approval on its own. GitHub may still require a document that clearly shows: Your full name University name (Anadolu University) Current enrollment status Current academic term or expiration date Official university branding or verification method While you cannot directly submit files for manual review by default, the recommended next steps are: Contact GitHub Support through the official support form and explain that you are a distance-learning student whose documents are repeatedly rejected. Include clear details about your university, department, and learning mode. Ask whether your case can be escalated for further review due to limitations of third-party verification for online programs. If possible, upload a document that includes a verification URL, QR code, or official stamp, preferably in English. Some users have reported success only after multiple attempts or after GitHub Support escalated the issue internally, but this is not guaranteed. In short: |

Hi everyone,
I am trying to verify my GitHub Student status as a university student, but I keep running into issues during the verification process.
No matter which document I upload, the system either returns a “third-party verification” message or rejects the document without a clear reason.
Some details about my situation:
I am a student at Anadolu University, Department of International Relations
My education is distance / online learning
I have:
Official enrollment documents
Student certificates
Other university-issued proof documents
I also have an official university email address
Despite this, none of my submissions are being accepted.
My question is:
Is it possible to submit my documents directly via GitHub Support (for example as file attachments) so they can be reviewed manually?
I can provide as many official documents as needed to prove my student status.
If anyone has experienced a similar issue or knows the correct way to proceed, I’d really appreciate the guidance.
Thank you in advance.
