Repeatably declined for education github program #182492

I applied for the GitHub Student Developer Pack and was approved on my second attempt. I selected my role as a student and chose my school. You must use your school email address and share your location (by the way, I shared my location while I was at school and completed all the steps there). I chose the 'enrollment letter' (the 3rd option) and uploaded it with high clarity because my school had provided me with a PDF file (which I obtained from the school principal). I converted that PDF to a JPEG file before uploading it. Then, I changed my home address to my school's address in the billing information. I don't remember all the steps exactly, but that’s basically everything I did. |

Justin, that sounds really frustrating—especially after applying multiple times and providing proper documentation. In many cases, repeated auto-declines happen due to an automated verification mismatch (even small things like document format, date visibility, or institution recognition). Unfortunately, reapplying without a manual review usually leads to the same result. I’d suggest replying to an existing support ticket (if possible) or opening a new one and clearly requesting manual verification, mentioning the repeated declines and that all documents already meet the requirements. Some users only get approved once a human review is triggered. Hope this gets resolved for you soon. |

Hi everyone,
Hello,
I have applied to the GitHub Student Developer Pack five times and have been declined each time, despite carefully following all instructions.
My name matches my GitHub profile and billing information exactly. My university is correctly selected from the dropdown menu. I have uploaded multiple forms of documentation, including my student ID, unofficial transcripts, and an enrollment letter, all of which clearly show my name and current enrollment status. My GitHub profile is complete and consistent with this information.
I have also opened two support tickets, including Ticket #3971104, but they were automatically closed after following the recommendations provided, without any meaningful resolution.
This situation has been extremely frustrating, especially as I am currently paying a monthly fee for services that are advertised as free for eligible students. I am not claiming entitlement—only asking for clear guidance or a resolution, as I have received no direct assistance from technical support despite repeated attempts.
Any advice or help you can provide would be greatly appreciated as this seems to be a common post.
Thank you for your time,
Justin
